The institute hosts multiple national-level research platforms, including the **National Key Laboratory of Autonomous Intelligent Unmanned Systems**, the National Science Foundation **Basic Science Center**, the Ministry of Education **Frontiers Science Center**, and the National AI Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform. Directed by Academician Chen Jie (Chinese Academy of Engineering), the institute brings together more than 50 high-level researchers, including academicians, Changjiang Scholars, and National Distinguished Young Scholars.
